Economic Development staff are committed to promoting and assisting in the success of your business by assisting and facilitating conversations with various departments and other agencies. ​

California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA)

CalOSBA supports economic growth and innovation and ensures that ALL California small businesses and innovative startups have the information and direct support they need to better navigate resources, programs and regulations.

Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (Go-Biz)

Go-Biz serves as the State of California's leader for job growth, economic development, and business assistance efforts. No cost consultations for incentive identification, site selection, regulatory or permitting compliance assistance, foreign direct investment and export assistance are offered. ​

MetroBusiness Center

The MetroBusiness Center is a program of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce (Metro Chamber) that meets the demands of small and medium sized businesses. The MetroBusiness Center provides businesses with a wide variety of resources and assistance through networking, business planning, education, financial assistance, business advising, HR tools, brand expansion, business development, and more.

California Capital (CalCAP)

California Capital is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that provides business training, education, resources, one-on-one counseling, and access to capital for entrepreneurs. California Capital also provides financial education for youth and adults.

California State Trade Expansion Program (CalSTEP)

CalSTEP helps small businesses export and enter global markets and tap into the benefits of selling their products and service overseas. CalSTEP organizes trade missions, delegations, and California pavilions at oversea trade shows.

Sacramento Valley Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

With unparalleled access to no-cost expertise from entrepreneurs who have seen it all, Sacramento Valley SBDC provides small businesses with the solutions they seek and the confidence they need to realize their dreams.

U.S. Veteran Business Alliance (VBA)

The U.S. VBA supports veterans through mentorship, advocation, education, and promoting and navigating the joys and pitfalls of business ownership.

Greater Sacramento Economic Council (GSEC)

GSEC is a public-private partnership that unites business and community leaders to create one cohesive regional economic development strategy with a focus on growth, sustainability, equity, and competitiveness.​ 

Hac​ker Lab

H​acker Lab Inc. is an innovative enterprise dedicated to promoting economic development by supporting technology, creative industries, small businesses, and the arts.​

Sacramento Valley National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)

NAWBO is a one-stop resource to propelling women business owners into greater economic, social, and political spheres of power worldwide.​​

Northern California World Trade Center (WTC)

The Northern California WTC is a membership-based, apolitical 501(c)(3) non-profit that helps companies develop their international business through education, resources, and connections.​

Opening Doors Inc.

Opening Doors Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that serves a wide variety of newcomers – immigrants, refugees, and survivors of trafficking – as they establish lives of stability, self-sufficiency, and belonging.​

Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA)

SETA has transformed lives through impactful programs that meet people where they are and help them get to where they want to be in work and in life. SETA has several programs and resources that can help businesses and people reach their full potential such as Sacramento Works, SETA Head Start, Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), SETA Refugee Program, and Capitol Region Workforce Boards.

Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy (SEA)

SEA provides an entrepreneurial fast track for fellows; they learn what it takes to start and run a business and spend an academic year developing a business plan. Unlike the typical classroom setting, SEA fellows learn from seasoned entrepreneurs who give their time and experience to these future business leaders.​

Sacramento State Center for Small Businesses (CSB)

Sacramento State CSB serves in excess of 2,000 small businesses in the Greater Sacramento Area. CSB offers free technical management assistance in all areas of business other than taxation, law, and loan packaging, to small for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.

SCORE

SCORE is dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow, and achieve their goals by providing education and mentorship.

Urban Land Institute (ULI) Sacramento

The mission of ULI is to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. ULI is an organization of diverse individual members who seek to provide leadership for fostering responsible land use in the Sacramento region.

U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)

The SBA Sacramento District offers help with SBA services including funding programs, counseling, federal contracting certifications, and disaster recovery.
